As somebody who's really bad with phones I can tell you when you drop them in water you can put them in your dryer first turn it off pop out the battery if you can get two towels and a pair of socks put it in one sock wrap it over put it in the next sock put it in there with the towels to Pat it out so it doesn't bang around if you can take out the battery and the SIM card and all that good stuff do that but at least take off the case and throw it in the dryer for like 5 minutes maybe you don't want to melt anything inside just steam all the water out real fast. Also I've just put it on the dashboard of a car on a really hot day and seeing the water steam out of it in like 10 minutes sitting in the sun. Rice does nothing though
