If we stop and take a closer look at our Lord on the cross, suffering and dying for every single sin, this should help us to put it to death! Just imagine for a moment that you were right there at that moment in time when our Lord was receiving the beatings and all the whips that caused him to bleed to death, and it was your sin that did it. Or even worse, imagine that it was your very hand that whipped him. Wouldn't you have instead wanted to get in the way so that you would get hit instead of him? Do you know that every time you sin, Jesus received a lash for it? Do you not know that you hurt him immensely by taking your sin lightly? How bad would it hurt you to find someone else in bed with your spouse? Well, it is the same with Christ and our sin. If we are married to him, and we are, then every sin we commit, it's spiritual adultery against Christ. It hurts him that bad and much worse, because he loves much more and the greater the love, the greater the pain. So brothers and sisters, for the love of our Blessed Jesus, be killing your sins, your sinful desires and sinful thoughts. Do you not know that the LORD hears every thought as if you spoke it out loud? He knows your every desire!! O I thank you Blessed Father in Heaven for this wonderful sermon and I pray that you enable me to do just what we are called to do, live a holy life for your Glory. Help me to please you in everything I do, for Jesus sake, Amen 🛐🆘🚸🙏

This was brilliant. When you mentioned the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:29 ... "It is better to go through life mamed than whole and end up in hell." As one who is battling with my health in so many ways at the age of 46 and aware that the Lord often uses these means to sanctify us, even when Satan means them for evil. The Lord means all these things for the good of His people and it is better that I suffer for a little while and it play a part in my sanctification for a season or so than I go through life healthy and never really know His discipline and find I am not really a son after all. It just goes to expose the health, wealth and prosperity "gospel" for the lie from the pit of hell that it is.

Paul said didn't he "I have learned to abound and I have learned to be abased" well I am still learning... I have known good health and I have known poor health but hopefully in this life I will know good health again and that the Lord will find me able to be trusted with it. 🙏

No He does not. We have to reckon ourselves to be dead to sin, not the other way round. The way to do that is by being alive unto God in Christ first and foremost.
