Yes, Pitbulls are very aggressive. I was in my front garden with my two dogs on leashes when suddenly a Pitbull ran up to us and attacked my two small dogs, I was terrified because it grabbed my female by the neck, having tried for the throat, I fought it off with my dogs, they snarling and growling and I was throwing bricks and roof tiles at it. Eventually we succeeded in driving it away, but my poor female had a huge haematoma as a result. She needed veterinary care and three thousand dollars later she was okay. However, the stress and the injury have caused her to lose a lot of her hair for the past few years as it caused an inflammatory disease.
