I've been rereading some of the current manga chapters and I've begun to see and somewhat understand what it is Horikoshi is doing with the quirkless All might vs. Afo. Originally I wanted to see Prime All might vs afo but now I understand that it's calling back to the biggest question of the story that Izuku asked All Might, "Can a quirkless person still be a hero?"

Also I fully believe this suit is like some kind of experimental tech or something that's so expensive you'd need to sell a body part to even come close to buying it. No way something like that would be widely available to quirk society.

Honestly they could easily explain this supposed "plot hole" by either stating that this is completely new technology that was developed recently by all the geniuses available at the time or that it costs basically the entire schools budget to make just one suit, budget that they sparsely have at this point in time. Probably a combination of both.

I’m a big fan of this “armored all might” vs a rewound version. All for one is OBSESSED with quirks. And him losing to all might WITHOUT a quirk would be the biggest middle finger and slap in the face to him. Not to mention everything coming full circle with izuku asking if he could be a hero without a quirk and all

The suit that All Might is using is a prototype, prototypes are typically less refined because they weren't mass produced. If the suit proves to be effective, and can be manufactured cheaply, then it would see wider use. The argument that "They have this technology, they should be using it on everyone" completely disregards that this was probably cobbled together during the time prior to the first war, and mass production is not a viable option.

Its most likely new tech aka the first of its kind and super expensive not to mention it was only made because All Might requested and because he's friends with Dave and Melissa. I feel like that should be common sense

His armor is such a glass cannon. Yes it’s powerful but seeing this battle especially it’ll break quickly and it probably worth the cost of a country or something just to have one.

Not everyone has the experience of battle, hence even with good suits, they can't fight like all might. The suit might be very costly to make, and since it was all might request, the lady in the movie has made it for him, it might have taken super long and super hard to make this one suit, and all might might have asked immediately after he lost his power, so it might have taken this long to even prepare this suit, customised to fight in all nights fighting style, as he himself has asked for this specific design. And even in iron man part one, Tony was only able to make one suit, after a long time Tony has made many iron man suits.

Narratively, it makes sense that it was just Allmight that received the suit for his final battle.

Pragmatically? Maybe you should have given it to Eraserhead with a upgrade that keeps his eye wet so it can stay open? He would've fucked up AFO.

They could give this suit to 12 other people but it’s all about how the wearer uses it. All Might is a seasoned hero and probably the best quirkless person to use the suit, as he has tons of battle experience. It wouldn’t be as effective if they just made these for everyone - they wouldn’t even know how to use it to the max potential.

It doesn't destroy AFO's arm, he destroys his own arm with the laser quirk and All Might uses the "Black Whip" and electricity to stop it from regenerating.

Something like that suit is probably:

1.not available to the public for obvious reasons

2. Extremely experimental and the first/only of its kind

3. RIDICULOUSLY expensive, and untested so they wouldnt wanna make a bunch and have them ultimately all fail when they could continue putting more funds into the Tartarus system

4. Only able to be used to its full effect by someone like Allmight whos been a hero with super strength before and knows how to fully wield these abilities

And finally, 5. Probably has some kind of intense potentially horrific downside that a powerless and wounded Allmight is willing to accept if it means helping save the world one last time. Cause for all we know Allmight wins this fight, but the suit is what kills him.

But as another said there is thematic weight in the "can a quirkless person be a hero" question that this inevitably proves allowing Allmight to go out with a bang as his original quirkless self fighting AfO

If I had to think of an in-world reason they haven't just made a bunch of these suits- It may be because of All-Mights experience from having One-for-all. He is the only person that can take full advantage of the suits capabilities- like his brain is just used to moving at those speeds and having all that strength. Another person might just have a hard time keeping up with the suit

It's likely this suit is experimental and hasn't been fully tested. Also quite likely that it costs a *crushing amount* of resources to produce. With the test data All Might gives from using the suit, it may reason to stand that in the future many more of these suits will come to exist due to their effectiveness. Also, I do think All Might will die, but with his dialogue that he "never once has entered a fight expecting to lose, " his death will inspire the Heroes, or at least Deku, to prevail. A posthumous victory if that is the case.

Creating multiple suits would raise the chances of the enemy capturing or stealing one. Plot hole closed lol.

So - i dunno if mha would do this, nor that it makes sense from what's been set up, but i think narratively this is cool.
All might's final sacrifice to fight AFO is using his quirk until it kills him. The suit isn't really giving him one for all powers - it's keeping him alive no matter what his injuries are similar to the one set of armor in berserk, and hiding his injuries from the public while his body essentially turns to mush over the fight. Maybe it also boosts his power a little.

That way, it's not like the suit could be mass produced, and we get all mights determined final stand

Zho always likes to pick apart MHA and talk about his own ideas instead of the story he’s reading. They clearly say All might came up with the specs for the suit himself and got his friends genius daughter in America (who we can assume was already working on power based tech because of the All Might connection as we saw in the film with the gauntlets she already had made) worked on it herself specifically for All Might. To “keep him in the fight” the school support item section didn’t create the suit.

I have a feeling that the armor he has is a prototype so they wouldnt have been able to make many of them. It also probably only works so well for him because of All Might's battle experience as well as him knowing AFO's fighting style so well.
