i agree. the fact that he's involved himself in so much controveray and illegal acts, and just his demeanor, the very uncouth very unpresidentialness of him. all of it added to his spurring on of the crowd on jan 6th and what that ended up being, and then his guilty verdict in the case with Carroll, AND his now 34 counts. all of it should 1000% mark him ineligible to run. period.

40 years ago Richard Nixon resigned from office because leaders in Congress from his own party went to the White House and told him that his best option would be to resign because they could not and would not support him in an impeachment trial. Those were the days when members of Congress had integrity first on their priority list and party loyalty somewhere below that.

John Edwards had a good chance at clinching the Democratic nomination for president in 2008. But he withdrew simply because he was indicted for campaign violations similar to trump and, we havent heard from him since, even though the jury eventually found him "not guilty" at trial. That's a man and a political party with a sense of shame.
