Virgin A330-900 neo. First passenger departure. Heathrow. 27 October 2022. VS11 to Boston. G-VJAZ.

Here is the first passenger departure of G-VJAZ, which flew into Heathrow from Toulouse on 15th October and today, Thursday 22nd October, operated the first passenger service - VS11 to Boston. Leaving the gate at Terminal 3 extremely promptly, the aircraft taxied to Runway 27 Right and was away by 17:47 - just as well for the autumn nights are certainly darker now!

Interesting to see the two aircraft that compete with each other A330-900 and 787-9 in the same livery going off one after the other.
Many people think the 787 competes with the A350 when its only the 787-10 that competes with the A350-900 otherwise its the two A330neo aircraft.

the a330neo is beautiful, i think that’s a 👍good replacement for virgin’s 747-400 but i still miss the 747-400

A330 is a beautiful plane but it got photobombed by a BA 777. And then by a VS 789. That one had a well captured takeoff run.
