I'm a truck driver. When I'm not on the road workin, I live in my trailer in a RV park. I can live anywhere I want. Truckin is not hard. There are a lot of women drivers now, young and old. It's not for everyone but many of ya'll could do it. They're beggin for drivers. Truckin is good practice for livin the nomad lifestyle. And it pays very well.

I make $20hr, live in my car, and vacation from June to September every year. Living like a king.

New brakes and rotors... $1700.00 is still cheaper than $3000 a month rent.

My hubby & I did this, sorta, in 2020. We decided that we could never save enough money to live off of money for the rest of our lives. So we sold our house & cashed in our retirement funds. Moved to our homestead "Up North".
We built a tiny house 16x40, a greenhouse, two large gardens, a chicken coop & are working on a food forest.
We work for ourselves now. We work at growing our own food. We process, store & can enough food for the winter months. We have fresh eggs & chicken dinners. We currently live on less than $700/mth. By the end of this year, hubby will begin collecting Social Security & we will begin saving again. Then next year, when I start collect Social Security, we are going to have to figure out what to do with all that money 💰 😂

I love living in my tiny house, driving a 1994 Jeep wrangler, and working to produce good healthy food! I wouldn't give up this life for all those expensive trips around the world, where people only treat you well because you give them money.

Yes! Happiness does need to come from inside!
Money doesn't bring Happiness!!!

1. Live out your car/van. 2. Work part-time/full-time. 3. Cook. 4. Stay local, shower at the gym, stealth park/sleep at public parking lot/street. 4. Investing 5. Travel, spend on things you need for healthy lifestyle/balance, enjoy life

Lived a life being debt free and as a result was able to pay off my house. Thought it was important to not have a mortgage payment once I retired and on a fixed income. However, once I figured I still had property taxes, home insurance, utilities, repairs and maintenance (800 for a new water heater etc) I couldn't afford hobbies, lunches out with friends or outings etc and was sitting at home bored amd lonely so I sold my house and moved into a 6x12 cargo trailer. Now I travel because I can afford gas (as long as I stay out of Cali!) and Ive never been so happy. 😊

To me, our friend Bob is a kind of modern day Thoreau, but instead of writing his wisdom down, he makes for us very informative videos.

Bob, you are a philosopher and you don’t know it. Your suggestions were meant for RV type living, but they are really applicable to all of us as we go through this thing called life. Terrific video!

Make no mistake, it is by design that anything that keeps us comfortable and safe is purposely costing a fortune. It’s to keep us in line working for the man. It also helps the unemployment numbers, so we’re deduced to a statistic for political purposes.

wherever you go, there you are! i spent an hour in a thrift store yesterday, so much fun. not until this morning did i realize that i didn't buy anything. i didn't NEED another t-shirt, pair of jeans, coffee mug etc but i still enjoyed "shopping".

Nomads should consider a parttime job at Loves/Pilot etc. EVERY truckstop is begging for employees (open 24hours/7/365.) Most truckstops are located in areas accessible to free camping. I'm sure you could move north and south with the seasons and be hired instantly with prior experience within the company. Employees get discounts on purchases (groceries!) Plus, the truck stops have luxurious showers!!!

I'm not living in a van but this is still good advice.

Here’s a good tip. When you consider a purchase, think about whether it’s worth th number of hours you have to work to pay for it!

More things will not make you happy, but neither will less things. Yes! That is truth and wisdom.

I've already got the job, a charter bus driver. I just need the sand to give up my house, buy a van, park it at work (which I'm sure they'd let me do). Man, I really think I need to do this! Great video!

I am a 51-year-old woman with a 5-year plan to "Go Nomad". I am leaving my career in the accounting field and going to school full time starting next month taking automotive technology. For me, getting out of my corporate job is just as important as getting out of debt. Thank you for this video!

Look at how people respond when you ask 'tell me about yourself' most people tell you their job. We've lost what we are as humans and allowed ourselves to become cogs in someone else's machine. I want out - thanks for leading the way.
