Battery powered portable blenders have been around for a while, but up until now, they have had really underwhelming performance. Ninja Kitchen and Blendjet both say that they have the answer. The new Blendjet 2 promises to be your go-to portable blender, but Ninja Blast claims to be the better choice by far, even going as far as to disrespect the Blendjet 2 specifically on their packaging and advertising. Which one will come out on top, and is either one worth your money? Find out, right now!

Read the directions on the ninja. It has a min liquid fill line and the frozen things go on top of liquid.

I have the Blast and so far I've blended a frozen banana, ice and an ice cream sandwich. The first time when I tried to blend a frozen banana I also had some protein powder in there but it got too thick and wouldn't blend. Ended up blending the banana with just liquid first and then I added the protein powder. Obviously not the most powerful things on the planet, but that's to be expected from a portable device.

Had blend jet and loved the concept but it stopped working after 7 months of use.It started having charging issues just after 4 months.Power was not that great and battery life even worse.Seemed almost impossible to get ingredients completely grinded and was always chunks.Just got a the Ninja in hopes that they would do a better job and I couldn't be happier.Everything that is wrong with the blend jet is not an issue with the Ninja Blast.Absolutely love the Ninja despite a little extra weight and size.

Had a blend jet 2, it's pretty good and portable but just two annoying issues.
- The lip area is not for drinking because it has areas liquid can hang around and spill while not feeling like normal glass so perhaps, they need to get rid of the screw shape and putting a 'lip cover' is just an inconvenient add on.
- Either make the blend jut container bigger or reduce the size of the lower part because it doesn't hold enough liquid.

I always add a bit more liquid and less fruits the first blend. Then I'll add more it's really useful for me to have ninja blender it allows me enjoy healthier and cheater smoothies on the go. If im hungry and don't want to eat at s fast food restaurant or if i want to drink a coffee substitute ill just make a smoothie. It's very convenient to just stop by my nearest store and pick up what i want.

I just got a Blendjet 2 and it does a great job with smoothies! I used the Naked juice recipe for their strawberry/banana smoothie and that thing ripped through it no problem, and I have no doubt it can rip through icy fruits or ice cubes. You just gotta put in the liquid first, as that way the ice would be at the top and when the blades get going, it would spin the ice down to them as they go full speed which would shred it up completely. If you don’t put in the liquid first, the icy stuff wouldn’t float well and stuff would be in contact with the blades which would make them get stuck more

You need to read the instructions. You can't just add frozen fruit. First liquid, then soft fruit or yogurt or greens, then frozen fruit it ice. Then it will blend the first time.

The lid lossens up more you use it so not worrie about it breaking off. Ninja blast works for me blending my powder breakfest drink but it needs improvements. 1 needs a battery meter to show when power is running out before adding stuff and find after pushing button not enough power to run through full cycle. Second it's kind of hard to clean in screw groves, flat lip on bottom pitcher and around white blade base. It should have a brush for cleaning and more rounded edges.

I had 3 Ninja Blasts all of them stopped charging within weeks. I think it is the usb connection going bad not the battery. After 3 I gave up but nothing else is better so I give up on portable blenders.

these are portable blenders, they are not used like plugged ones. liquids are essential.
they are made for portability in mind not blend hard without fluids

After two failed attempts with the blendjet, I am really interested in trying the ninja to see how it goes! The battery on my blendjet one exploded right in front of me when I pushed the power button. Come to find out they had a recall due to exploding batteries.

When I contacted blendjet for my replacement, they told me I wasn’t covered and that they would not be replacing it even though it was a recall specifically for people with exploding batteries on their unit! I ended up biting the bullet and I bought the blendjet 2. I was only able to use it a total of three times before it broke and never worked again. They are giving me so much shit just to have it replaced right now. I’ve just given up because they’re refusing to do anything about it despite the fact that they sold me a defective unit that only worked three times. Honestly, I’m so over blendjet as a company. I think it’s time to make the switch! Thank you for your honest review.

Have you tried it with the 32oz bottle?

When the lid folded over and hit you in the face did you require any treatment at the local

I have the ninja and yeah it has the issues with getting stuck with frozen fruits and such, but honestly after a few uses you learn the "tips and tricks" of the blender and those problems disappear

when I use my ninja my purple light is on that its charged but then when I push it on it turns completely red and nothing happens what is going on

Recently, big recall on the Blendjet. for over heating and the blade flying off. This happened to me . They quickly replaced it, but the replacement unit arrived damaged . Also the silver Blendjet logo rubbed off on the first cleaning. All of this should have been caught in testing. Quality is obviously suspect

Just make sure your Blend Jet is not set on pulse mode, thus causing the stop stuck mode. Just saying 🤷🏻‍♂️

When it comes to the second smoothie, why would you put so much fruit and little liquid? And of course they’re gonna get stuck if you stack em like that, plus you have to remember it’s a small blender.

I have both and I prefer the BlendJet for its simplicity and it’s lightweight.

I would cut up the larger fruit, this is what I do in a regular blender, to help it.
