Hi There!

This Lowes Plant shopping tip has saved me so much money over the years and I hope it does the same for you. Clearance plants are my favorite because most of the time all they need is a little water and a little love.

My Lowes won’t do that. I think the head of the department has her own thing going on. I think she buys up all the good reduced plants and either keeps them herself or possibly sells them after she rejuvenates them. I’ve asked before about a PW hydrangea that was terribly wilted and clearly if it didn’t get water soon it was going to die and she would only give me about three bucks off. I did buy it but she was not very willing to mark it down. There were several other hydrangea on the pallet that looked in similar shape and I took the worst one so the rest either died or she got them. I’ve also looked at other plants that were reduced but they were one step away from deaths door. I’m convinced that she buys them because I’ve seen a grouping of reduced plants huddled back behind the cash wrap area that clearly were saved for someone. Also when I asked about reducing a plant the cashier had to get approval from the department manager. So I’m guessing the department manager has a thing going on. I could be all wet but when you look for a reduced plant at my Lowes, there either almost dead or there are none available. 🌷💚🙃 I’m glad your Lowes gives you bargains though!🌷💚🙃
