Lovely little bantam. I am now in my middle 60s .I grew up with bantams, dad always had them, last bantam we had was one of the last from Chapmans of Duke Street Norwich as they started to sell Hondas and winding down british bikes. When dad came home it was brand new lovely blue d14 .4 I think the year was 70/71 nice memories . Love your blogs of the old British bikes.

Had one in the mid 60s, went everywhere on it, had it till a guy on a scooter turned across my bows and i hit him side on, wrote it off, broke my wrist, so with the compo i bought a 195cc Yamaha for £175 nice little bike .

Neat, tidy & practical. If there's a couple of you, Hen Racing is brilliant fun.

I rode the 175 in the early 1960. Always carried a spare spark plug. Because even using the cheapest fuel the pugs would whisker. Tyres also poor profiles & hard compounds meant regular sliding down the road. Exuberant riding may have come into it

Great if you don't mind the smoke.
I've had my share.

Shouting stop at a bantam might be more effective than using the levers
