A home game against a team ranked 111th in the nation by KenPom. If Essandoko made his freethrow with 14 seconds left we'd have lost that game.

The struggle was the score but UK really didnt look horrible. Kept bumping the lead to 8-9 then St Joes would hit 2 straight 3 to get it back to 3. UK missed some free throw that wouldve won the game in regulation. They looked better down the stretch than they have during most close game the last 3 years so thats good. Definitely took a step forward in a close game from last Tues, easier competitiion aside. But St joes was really good and looked like a legit A10 contender tonight atlest. Reed had another great floor game. He way more than just a 3pt specialist. He's a great passer, gets tons of steals and defections. Best inbounder ever seen at UK and a great hockey assist guy. Last ten minutes of the game Wagner looked like the guy in the HS highlight reels!

Cal just didn’t play Reed when he was supposed too. He’s a top 5 on ball defender in college basketball. You guys don’t know what your saying. SJ made multiple contested threes

They made 15 threes and had 14 offensive rebounds..Kentucky doesn’t have any bigs. Any team who hits 15 threes is going to be hard to beat.

Just my assumption but I think Cal told Shepherd to facilitate the offense of DJ And Edwards, wanting to buid their confidence. Why else wld our star shooter only take one shot. We almost lost the game because of it. All the while Dillingham is on the bench, our most explosive scorer

I dont know. I dont think Kentucky looked bad or struggled at all. I think they took St. Josephs best shot and withstood it. St. Joseph played great and so did Kentucky. Only thing i think Kentucky did bad was free throws. This game doesnt go into overtime if they hit their free throws. Give St Joseph credit, they hit bit 3s while being guarded toughly. They made 15 thress i believe in this game and still lost. UK definitely needs a big back. Offensive rebounding is the only reason why St Joseph stayed in this game

Cal played Wagner and Edwards a lot to help them improve. Major problem was that Cal didn’t make adjustments soon enough during regulation play

Everybody knew coming in to this game that st Joe's shot alot of 3's, and when they hit they are hard to beat. That's any team really. They weren't missing. And I almost think that cal wanted this game to play out the way it did. He said after the Kansas game he needed to teach these freshman how to close out games, and that game was a perfect opportunity to teach them. And they did well. I think this team has Soo much depth it's crazy. If they get Bradshaw and Z back it's gonna be fun
