nurse here (: typically your sugar levels will normalize and come back down about 2 hours after you eat.. so depending how long after you ate you got the blood work done it may have resulted in the lower level! As long as you’re not symptomatic: dizzy, nauseous, shaky, sweaty, headache, etc (symptoms of hypoglycemia) you’re okay your body may just function on a lower range! As long as you’re not symptomatic, it’s more of a concern if it’s high since that may indicate being diabetic. Working out also makes your body more sensitive to insulin (which is what brings your blood sugar levels down)!

Nurse here! We always go based on your bloodwork over time. This means that one abnormal result isn’t super concerning unless you’re having symptoms. Sometimes the machine may not be calibrated right, or just may skew the results. If your next blood draw also shows a low glucose, then we may have a different conversation, but I wouldn’t be too concerned if you weren’t experiencing hypoglycemic symptoms such as shaking, dizziness, among others.

hey love! coming from someone that’s diabetic, your glucose being low can be from not eating carbs, if you drank heaps of water, working out, being sick and sweat. your glucose isn’t always due to not enough sugar x

Having multiple kids is the best! They entertain each other and lookout for each other and when you do spend time with them individually you’re getting a completely different personality that loves the heck out of you every time! ❤ plus they tend to teach each other things that are hard for parents to do like potty training and just generally leading by example for each other
