Doing any acrylic pour with a hair dryer is an awesome way to create abstract art. The blow dryer gives some airy flow and form that you just can't get with pouring and tilting alone.

These are my best blow dry tips and tricks for an acrylic pour.

What I liked about this is that you showed the wrong way immediately before showing the right way, so we can see the difference.
Happy Saturday to me!!

I go down into my studio/garage determined to get the Dutch pour figured out. After a couple of hours of frustrating experimenting, I decided to stop and review the Dutch pour videos again. Lo and behold when I open YouTube, up pops this perfect video. Thanks Left.

Wow! Learned so much. Cannot tell you how many videos I watch of Dutch pouring but no one explains as you do - even the angle for the dryer! Thank you so much for all you do❣

I’m so grateful for you LBA. I’m sure I speak for many when I say how thankful I am that you share all of these tips and tricks without a dollar sign attached to it. Thanks a million! ❤

The hairdryer was my white whale for the longest time. Thank you for including the HOW to blow. That was something that escaped me for the longest time. Dutch Pours are all I can do at the moment, so videos like this are incredibly helpful! Thank you.

This is a great tutorial! So many "tutorials" just show the artist making art (which is beneficial, but not a true teaching tool). You are logical, you go step by step, you are a great teacher! More videos please!

I want to thank you. I REALLY appreciate and enjoy your channel (meaning your work).

Until I found your channel, I was unable to create the right paint viscosity to make these kinds of paints. I wasted a lot of paint and quit for a while. But your channel inspired me to try again!! YOU taught me a reliable way to test viscosity BEFORE pouring the paint on the canvas and wasting it, again!!!❤️

You also helped me improve my blowdryer techniques! This is probably the fourth time I am watching this video. Each time I watch it, I pick up another helpful piece of information!

I still struggle with picking colors, but the small successes I have had in that area also can be credited to YOUR videos…you explained how to read the paint labels, how to avoid transparent paint next to transparent paint, how complimentary colors need a color between them (I use white) to keep them from mixing to brown… Seriously, I could go on and on!!

The reason I think you have been able to teach me more than the other wonderful artists out there because I am left-brained, too. The other artists are extremely talented and obviously wonderful teachers, but I do not always leave their videos understanding what I came there to learn, like right-brained people do. Viva la difference! The world would be boring it we were all the same.

Thank you for teaching me in my 50’s!!❤❤

Request: If you could teach me how to pick colors that will always go well together, I would watch that video 1000 times! Most people seem to be able to “just see” what colors work together. Alas, I am not one of those lucky people!

I bought an advanced color wheel chart that has a cutout placed on top of the color wheel to help you find five colors that are pleasing to the eye. That has helped, but I am sure you could break it down the concepts for me in a way that I actually understand how to pick colors!

Would you consider doing a video like this??

I really want to to thank you for all of your tutorials. I learned so much more about pouring with you than I did with a course I payed quite a bunch for. As a beginner it’s quite a challenge to know the consistency needed, how to do it and so on (honey 😉😅) the blow over and out.... so now I am addicted to your tutorials. What you do for us is really amazing, a huge thank you for all the advices you give, it makes my life so much easier.

It's gorgeous, very helpful re the blower angles and starting above the canvas, and the consistencies. I have noticed too thick turns into bumpy rippled skins on the surface. Not what I was looking for. Your left brain and eye for beauty combo is such a gift to us and I appreciate the great organization and care you take in your presentations.

I'm a newbie, and am not really interested in this technique right now.
BUT, I'm watching, liking, and commenting... (and even watched the ads!!! LOL)
BECAUSE I KNOW you had to have put SO MUCH time and energy into this in order to create this video for us...
And for that, I'm thankful!
....in case I change my mind down the line and need to come back to this!!
Thank you for all that you do!
