I have an existing client install in our networ it is the SCCM 2012 R2 client version. I recently upgraded to SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 and need to push out the new version of the client. Does SCCM automatically do that? If it does not. How can I have to force update the clients across the networks without messing them up?

also what is is the advantage of using the /noservice switch over running it as a service? Our regular users have r/w access the DP share. I been thinking about closing off access to the share and just having it run as a noservice to only allow the account that installed it have install rights. Would that screw up the IE/A.D. catalog for the software install? I have not experimented as of yet as I do not have authorization to try it out.

After watching video i assumed client installation was carried out from SCCM console which was manual steps.. There is no such auto client deployment?

Hi your vids are great. I am having trouble though.
I have set everything i believe correctly but i think my problems are related to the discovery, it has successfully discovered my SCCMSERVER and SQLSERVER on the one machine(Install Client is not greyed out for those), and on another host on a different PC i have a WIndows 10 enterprise client VM. this is not being discovered 100% it says x64 Unknown computer but not the computers name i thought it should list the computer name. i have set boundary have setup boundary group, have set discovery methods, Client settings i have setup a second user group and account although i dont think i did this right either. i need to somehow check that my VM is being discovered correctly - when i attempt to push the client agent it is greyed out. if i manually add my Client with MAC address and Name, it allows me to click on Install Client but it fails and i receive an error that it is in the process of being discovered. I am really stuck here, i have nearly run out of ideas.
