Hi Thomas, I’m not really big into reading. But hearing speak about books is something I always look forward to, whenever your your videos pop up on my feed. I’ve been watching you for years and just want to say thank you for making these videos.

I also enjoyed this story. The RoboCop and drones were a unique concept

This book is on my to read list and now I DEFINETLY want to read it! :) would you recommend reading the other two books you mentioned beforehand? Or is the story clear on its own?

Does the author have say on cover blurbs or is does the publisher typically decide on them? I find it hard to believe Okorafor would want a blurb from Veronica Roth on her cover considering her history of problematic writing (Carve the Mark).

Afrofuturism isn't a "westernized" African-American perspective; it's Black. Black people don't have a "western" experience just because we live in North America.

As a Black Afrofuturist writer, I've been really disenfranchised, let's say, by Okorafor's antagonism towards Black people in America.
