I must say, even though we got absolutely destroyed in this one, that 2012 magic was still there at the start, getting those 2 TDs. Props to Peyton obviously, but I'm still cheering for the Ravens.

In Baltimore we call this game the Peter Angelos Game because he forced us to open the season in Denver instead of at home against the Steelers. The reasoning was "THE ORIOLES WERE PLAYING THE YANKEES ON ESPN THAT NIGHT!" Let me put it this way. Every Super Bowl Champion since 1999 has hosted a home primetime game to start the following season, except for the 2001 Ravens, the 2003 Buccaneers, and the 2012 Ravens. All three of those teams opened on the road the year after they won it all. Tampa Bay was because Philly wanted to open the Linc against the team that ended the Vet. The Ravens case is because of Peter Angelos and the NFL having a grudge against them because of Art Modell betraying Cleveland in 1995. If the Ravens somehow win it all this year, knowing the NFL they're going to make them open 2025 against lets say the Bills in Buffalo.
