I am old when I was in school, we learned about all races history every day! There was no distinction of whose history it was! It is ALL of our history! History is colorblind and we should all aspire to that!

I remember stumbling across that interview when I was in college looking up Black History Month.

Freeman is correct Black history is American History, African American is a divisive term to keep division not unity. American history good and bad is OUR history and we learn from it and move forward. Trying to change the history books or erase history is a mistake. Everyone needs to know OUR history and we can move forward and not make the same mistakes because this history is there.

I was just talking about this to my neighbor today. We didn't know there was a difference as kids. We played and we were friends. We didn't know there was a difference until the school system pointed out out. They shouldn't constantly teach about race in our schools. It don't matter... At the end of the day you let us come under attack. It's funny the same people taking your guns are the first ones handing them back. Telling your sons to die for them while they eat steak hiding behind us and their green screens. Then it's you're American... not you're white or black. But at this moment it's about divide and conquer.

I have always loved History. One of the first Historical figures I remember learning about was Harriet Tubman. I’m white, but I remember feeling proud because she was a woman. I thought of her as a strong American woman
