Anycubic Kobra 3 Z offset issues .After I had a Z offset problem on the first layer with my last print I needed to see what the cause was ,I found in my case it was a loose roller on the gantry so needed to tighten the eccentric nut to tighten the print head to the frame . Fix for me but I know people have different problems and issues :-(
Thanks for watching

Mine wasn't loading the mesh created by auto level, I had to add an M420 (I forget the parameters) in my start gcode. Its still not perfect, but it's considerably better

make sure everything is tight but not too tight the dial on the right of the print head the tension on the print bed belt know directly in front of the printer.. tighten the one to the right if your prior t head has wobble..tighten it until wobble just goes away...the other one In front of you I tighten until it past the vibration test..so it's not over tightened either...then make sure everything with a wheel gets its bolts checked once a month

yeah z offset calibration seems to be a huge bug here. support told me they made an update in auto z calibration but it doesnt seem to work properly. the nozzle touches the bed when calibrating and everything seems fine, but when it prints it just doesnt make a good layer. on my kobra 2 i could manually adjust z and it saves it permanently (until a new auto calibration of course). but when i manually adjust z on kobra 3 it resets before every print because it makes a little calibration every time.

Hi, this question is off the subject, but where can I get the file for the gingerbread box you were printing? My daughter saw it and fell in love with it.
Thanks in advance.

on the forums, there are lots of ideas as to why people are having problems with the z offset. So far I have heard the reason could be a sensor faulty, or software issues, my favorite is the clip on the extruder getting dislodged or move as it is a very basic holder. Lots of others but I haven't seen your reason on the forum so will add it next time it comes up. I've never really had the issue. I also don't do a bed level every print...if it works why fix it.

yeah, I wish you could just manually adjust and save it. I do this on my Ender SE after auto leveling because it's never spot on then I don't need to worry about it until I auto level again. I get pretty good adhesion for the most part on my k3 some minor issues. The main problem I have had with it is when trying to use smooth time lapse. the z offset moves up for some reason and I get poor adhesion and failed prints. I can do the same exact print over with smooth time lapse shut off and no issues. Makes no sense its like a bug no reason to raise the z offset for the time lapse no issue with a normal time lapse strange.

I'm at my wits end with my kobra 3, first the bed was warped so parts of the printer would stick and others woudn't, support sent me a new one, now the Z-Offset just won't level properly and sits way too high every damn print, I don't even know what to do anymore
Thanks for the video tho, sadly my gantry bolts seem to be tight

I just cannot print at all with the printer. Frist the belt on the gantry snaps in less than an hour of use. Then the bed can no longer level anymore.

I have never had any z off set issues with mine... but i maintenance it, use lube and tighten everything once every month especially if I'm constantly printing..also need 2 of these 10pcs F5-12M Miniature Thrust Ball
Bearings 5x12x4mm Chrome Steel
With Washers the Washers you'll also need are two 5.2mm washer one on bottom of bearings one on top also two 5mm that go between the two thrust bearings those are for the back motor to fix the design issue with a pattern the z keeps printing because the waynit torques...these bearings will lighten that load they need to go below the coupling linkage just above the motor...silent core studios made a good video on it... anyhow peace out add me n subscribe too Dramure let's help each other...
