During their quest to find Sunny's mom, they managed to enter Skyros, where Sunny's mom was trapped. They successfully released her, and she was finally reunited with her family. Argyle's soul was brought back using a spell that lasted for only two days, allowing him to guide them and share his knowledge about Skyros. In the end, both Sunny's mom and Argyle were able to meet, giving him the chance to see his wife one last time before the spell's effect wore off.

Dam... this the kind of ending the G4 comics would give a character. Getting one last happy moment before getting lost to the darkness in a bitter sweet ending (looking at you "Reflections").

This is the kind of ending you get right before a time skip epilogue mini-series.

I dig the decisions in this small v-slice, Argyle passing away for a second time is a really strong emotional hook. Never thought about actually bringing him back to life before, but I can see the potential in a temporary return. I'd watch/read more about this if you plan on expanding the idea, you got me hooked ❤

Imagine if they actually got to show Sunny's mum for more than 5 minutes in the entire series. It's a shame how much lost potential there was in G5.

This is the closure head-canon/fanfic we needed lol, it actually got me in the feels. If the fans can do this imagine what Hasbro could have done if they cared about this IP still. In G4 it's still debatable whether certain fanfics have surpassed the show's capabilities (I could name a few) but here it's definitely the case.

Luckily, Hitch cheers up Sunny saying her parents will be proud of her and tolds her that he loves her, and hearing about this, Sunny tearfully smiles and hugs Hitch saying she loves him too, and the two romantic earth ponies share their first kiss.
