I have attended the FSSP long time parish for many years. If they cave i won't hesitate to go to the SSPX parish on the outskirts of Vancouver BC.

What they call "rigidity", I call (proper) reverence and awe, due to the Lord. I find it stunning that we are more reverent in a library than at the foot of the Cross in the Mass!

FSSP needs to start making an alliance with the SSPX behind closed doors to survive. All traditional orders need each other to save the True church. Serve God not a clique.

I go exclusively to SSPX Masses, but I feel exactly the same way. In-fighting among faithful Catholics is a terrible thing to see. I pray for all traditional communities in my rosary, and I feel that I am a member of the same Church as ALL faithful Catholics - even the confused ones who are trapped in the Novus Ordo.

The problem with the FSSP is that they don't know who or what they are. Their big mistake was compromising with the new order, and leaving the SSPX, who know exactly who they are, i.e. solidly Catholic.
The FSSP needs to repent, have some humble pie, and rejoin the SSPX, which seems to be the only Catholic group who has built their house on rock.

In the Seattle area the FSSP and SSPX are located within a mile of each. They are the only churches where the TLM is celebrated. Unfortunately for me it is about a $75 round trip from Port Townsend. We live on Social Security and can't possibly attend. Pray for us. Thanks and Ave Maria

Neither JP II nor Benedict XVI gave the Fraternal Society of Saint Peter or Christ the King Sovereign King their own bishops.

They older (late 90's and early 2000's) FSSP Priests have a tremendous prejudice to the SSPX, based on what they believe and been taught, that Archbishop Lefebvre's illegitimately ordained bishops for his order. Illegitimate because, being retired, he had no bishopric. But does that mean he stopped being a bishop? And in an emergency, does he not retain his rights and responsibilities?
Fortunately, the younger priests don't have the same jaundice and are willing to work with the SSPX. Infact, some have confided to me privately that if the FSSP folds (as they will bootlick and verbally play nice, they're adamant at not performing the NO mass), that's where they will go.

Well, as I said before regarding Abbé Bizard: "When you sup with the devil, use a long spoon."
The Abbé is definitely choosing to "sup with the devil" in the sense that he is compromising that which cannot be compromised: THE CATHOLIC FAITH!
