The Arisaka rifle (有坂銃) is a family of Japanese military bolt-action service rifles that were produced and used by the imperial Japanese forces during WW2. The two models that are used the most frequently are the Type 38, which is chambered for the 6.550mmSR Type 38 cartridge, and the Type 99, which is chambered for the 7.758mm Type 99 cartridge (the perfect round for sensei),  which is about equivalent in firepower to a modern.308 Winchester round.
