Welcome to Dominion of Puppets, the third full length album by Violet Reverie. This is not a story of power, it’s the broken echo from dream of obedience and indoctrination. A reborn kingdom now bound by strings and wires. A queen who never asked to rule, but choose to do it for her mistress.

After Alice’s fall in My Dead Wonderland, the throne did not remain empty. Her final command lives on, carried out by the one who was never meant to be a queen, the puppet servant of Alice. She doesn’t dream. She doesn’t hesitate. She simply obeys her mistress last order.

Guided by the whispers of the Vorpal Blade, she tightens her grip on a Wonderland that no longer remembers joy. What once was magic is now a machinery of doom. What once was rebellion, now moves only if spoken to.

Inspired by The Birthday Massacre, this album weaves haunting synths, sorrowful melodies, and gothic darkwave into a story of hollow devotion, fading purpose, and the cost of following a dead voice that no longer speaks.

Meaning:
• A wicked invitation reaches the White Queen behind her gates of glass. The Puppet Queen requests an audience and it seems her sister, the Red Queen, is present as well. Without hesitation, she makes her way to the Puppet Queen’s black fortress. She will never return.

Lyrics:

A letter sealed in crimson thread,
Its words like whispers from the dead.
It called the White Queen to the hall,
To meet the one who ends them all.

She walked through lands of silent frost,
Where every step recalled the cost.
The blackened gate began to groan,
And drew her to the shattered throne.

The invitation bore her name,
And burned her crown in silent flame.
One sister fell, one knelt in chains,
Their stories drowned in quiet stains.
No mercy sung, no justice said,
Just puppets dancing with the dead.

There knelt her sister, cold and thin,
No strength, no crown, no fight within.
Her eyes were glass, her voice was gone,
The red queen’s rule was overdrawn.

The puppet stood in pale command,
With no remorse in eye or hand.
Her tone was calm, her words like stone:
“She broke my mistress. She stands alone.”

The invitation bore her name,
And burned her crown in silent flame.
One sister fell, one knelt in chains,
Their stories drowned in quiet stains.
No mercy sung, no justice said,
Just puppets dancing with the dead.

“She knelt to me, and bears her chain,
Her guilt is carved in silent pain.”
“But you, dear Queen, must pay in blood,
For sins that swell beneath the flood.”
“No plea, no trial, no last request,
Just death, your answer, be my guest.”

Now nothing moves within those walls,
Just echoes down the crumbling halls.
The throne is cold. The sky is black.
And none who enter, will journey back.
