How to contribute to Open Source in 1 minute on GitHub - Open Source is for everyone

Open Source is easy, simple and fun, it will help you learn, network and improve your CV. Companies and recruiters are now finding people directly via Open Source on GitHub. Not only does it help the open source community, but as you learn more, you will be in more demand, and then you can earn more, and find flexible and remote jobs (or clients).

Hope to see you in person at one of our events!

I love that feature of github. Especially when you create a PR and forgot to remove a console log of something. Being able to edit it right in the web is really nice!

Question for Eddie....but first a little context.
I recently watched one of your videos regarding open source contributions. After watching I put out a few contributions.
How do you handle working with an open source contribution that requires you to learn a new technology on the fly?
Lets say I have never used Redux library before and the inquiry requires it...how would you go about it?

I've done this so many times. Usually documentation for projects is open source and you'll find some typos in it. I wouldn't call it CV worthy, though

What's your tips on finding Open Source projects to contribute to?

Do you know of any Open Source Events like Hacktoberfest that are more distributed year-wide(preferably with free swag to show for it)? I want to get started contributing to an actual project. I've created a few repositories of my own, but have never contributed to an actual project.

Hi Eddie!
I'm new to open source.
I know python very well. I'm also familiar with HTML, CSS, Java-script...but i'm not that interested in web development. I want to contribute through Python but i don't know how to start contributing. through Python. I want to participate in GSOC 2021 (its a goal that i want to achieve .. ).
Can you please guide me sir.
