Everything NEW (or not) in iPadOS 14 in TWO Minutes or Less!

So WWDC 2020 kicked off. What wonderful things does Apple have in store for us? Here's a quick rundown of all the things Apple announced for iPadOS 14!

-They added a sidebar to native apps - How is this the first feature to be shown?

-Siri is now a tiny dot instead of a giant screen

- Call notifications are now just that, notifications instead of blocking out your entire screen. - Never realized how annoying that is….

- Search has been updated and is now called Universal Search - This feature looks interesting…deeper search, search in apps…honestly, searching for an app that you’re looking for is way better than trying to use whatever App Garbage can they’ve decided to promote for iOS. Basically, instead of going with the search response you get from an iPhone, you’re getting the search response like you would on a mac. But still, better searching abilities is always good.

- Apple released this thing called Scribble. Which is basically a giant version of the scribble’s you have on your Apple watch. Scribbles sounds cool but let’s be honest, it’s just hand writing recognition on steroids.

Seriously, we all get to write out our search queries instead of dealing with the onscreen keyboard!

You can cut your handwritten notes and paste them as typed text!

I think that the write to text feature is great for us students who love to do digital note taking and we now don’t have to retype everything on to a doc.

I’ve been doing that scribble thing (handwriting to type/text conversion) on my surface go - it’s useful only if I’m not using the type cover (i.e. using pen input). It’s nice that the option will now be there on your iPad 👍 run Monty! 🐶❤️

Thank you Monti!!! Will the new Pencil functionality work with Apple Pencil 1? I use mine mainly for editing photos on Affinity Photo on my iPadAir3. I type quicker than I write with a pencil. I use a Logitech Slim Folio SmartConnector keyboard which I love.
