I love the Reverse-Grip Incline Press for upper pecs.

I feel a ton of upper chest activation in pullovers with one dumbbell, squeezing my hands together, and keeping the elbows close together (like an external rotation of the arms).

Honestly every massive chest I’ve seen has a common denominator within the smith machine with a smaller pump style ROM and high rep sets.

also something I like to do occasionally is that dumbbell front raise like you said, but with two dumbbells being pushed together pretty much as hard as possible. I’m not sure how much muscle, if any it’s actually going to build but it really helps you feel and get a good pump in your chest. Probably similar to what those old school chest expanders used to do. The little things you create when you’re bored can sometimes end up being your greatest muscle activators

I'll definitely try the supinated dumbbell incline press, probably even the incline crush press (I haven't done crush presses in quite a while and I've never tried an incline version). Thanks for the suggestions, Franco Columbo chest here I come!

You made me want to try the Gorilla Bar pressing upwards where the portion just short of lockout has the bands at their tightest (“heaviest”) and holding for a three count

Lately I've been supersetting every press I do with a low fly using a band for the upper chest. I do It on warmups and really helps with the mind muscle connection. Mountain

My best activationg is when pressing a plate, but I haven't tried incline. The best pump and stretch comes from tricep pushdown machine. Easily the best.

The only upper chest movement where I feel the upper chest without pain is using a Hammer Strength incline machine. Anything else I've tried, including barbell and dumbbell, just causes really bad shoulder pain

Another thing I would recommend is something I got from a Larry Scott book who probably got it from Vince Gironda...BP to the neck with elbows flared...you obviously don't use alot of weight...and you can do it on Smith Machine or with regular Barbell...such a different feel and it definitely hits upper chest.

Yeah that thing with the two hand raises activating something around the collar - I have tried zercher squats recently and for the rest of the day had that 'buzz' feeling right in there where you describe, there's something about pulling arms upwards through your centre.

Amazing videos all the time, love the content. I have been playing around with sort of a cross over push exercise with my home cable machine too

Years ago I did the reverse grip on bench. I might have to try them again and see how it feels💪🏻

This may be a little low tech but l have noticed doing weighted push ups with feet a couple of inches or so higher than hands hits upper chest pretty good

Hey man have u made a transformation video from ur start of the bodybuilding days to in these later stages? That would b a very cool video to see a lifetime natural physique tranform throughout the decades

If you palms up 🤲 when doing a front raises this works well. But, you're always get front delt activation as the upper chest clavicle head as they perform the same motion.
I think like traps, upper chest is more genetic then other muscle regions.

What do you think of pre-exhausting techniques?

I like that front raise variant. Gonna have to give that a try. I've totally dismissed front raises for the longest time since my front delts get more than enough work with other pressing movements. But if this variant hits the upper chest more for me, I'll go for it. My upper chest is definitely lacking.

EDIT: After posting, I came across your video "Inclines Bench Presses INSTEAD of Shoulder Presses?" from a year ago that answers my question below this. Figured I'd mention the video title for anybody with the same thought. Still wondering about Arnold Presses, though. ^_^

What are your thoughts on doing a steep incline shoulder press off the bench? Something like 60 degrees, give or take? I've heard that those could be an excellent upper chest builder. Kinda like throwing in extra upper chest work with your shoulder workout.

It's been suggested to do this as an Arnold Press, but I'm not sold on doing any kind of Arnold Press just yet.
