Had PS5 and PS Pro...but PS3 is irreplaceable, the games that came with it are just amazing...those were the days when Devs still care about the Audience, and smartphones were just trying to make it's way...so we weren't getting much Micro transactions & "Pay me to make you happy" tactics going on, so...yeah if I'm to choose which era of gaming i'll definitely dive in from 1994 to 2011 and PS3 was a Huge part of that.

I heavily value still having my PS3 system with the original Sony-made PS3 controllers because it seems it's becoming much more difficult to find the real Sony-developed controllers these days for the PS3. Whether it's Amazon, eBay, or many other sites, it seems genuine PS3 controllers are a rare accessory to find. So yeah, if you're one of the few with a working real Sony PS3 controller, teach yourself how to fix it up and clean it out when it begins malfunctioning because otherwise, you may not find another original controller online.

literally got a super slim ps3 a few months back, it is so much nicer to pop a disc in, not wait for 30+ gb of game data and patches, and simply play, CEX is a bargain haven for games, and I can play all my ps1 games too! also being able to play online for free is so nice!

1:53 one thing to note about old cod games on ps3. The patch that activision gave out for old cods is only available on xbox

Both my old PS3 still work great. I have the slim versions of the 320gb and 500gb models. The latter with the sliding disc cover. Which while the other PS3 has the type where you insert the disc through the front, that one never once "ate" a disc on me.

That´s cool with the servers still working for some great games, wouldn´t have thought at all. The main reason for me to have the PS3 System are my relatively many games on the shelf. I don´t want to sell great game series like Resistance, Killzone, Gran Turismo 5/6 or GTA - Episodes from Liberty City. One could do without some titles, because there are good remakes for the PS4/PS5, but I don´t want to pay twice for the same game. And on the market, most of my PS3 Games are worth nothing, but for me it was the beginning of a new era (HD-Gaming, PS-Store, online gaming for free, Blue-Ray, Dolby 5.1, HDD-storage, Bluetooth, HDMI, DVD, CD, PS1 compatible, etc.).

These boxes (PS3 Fat) weren´t exactly cheap at first either! For buying used, I would choose (like this example) the slim or super-slim version, because of the heat problem with the "fat" models. I had them all, only the slim and super-slim are still alive 😃. My favorite is the slim because of the automatic disk insertion/ejection. Super-slim is for Retro fans and as small as possible installation space or power saving "freaks".

Ps3 has only 512mb ddr memory.

Even when PS3 becomes offline There are offline jailbreak stores and For normal users can just buy discs and pop them in so PS3 will still be here in some sort witch will be great for 2025

I been playing ps3 myself as of late because so many game's have been brought back up online as of late like WarHawk, KillZone2, LittleBigPlanet1-3 and of course the old Call Of Dutys also Ps Home has been brought back online in a project called Destination Home

I still have my original ps3 slim the game catalog it has is very underrated. My ps3 slim is like 13/14yrs old still going strong. Keeping this until Sony gives true backwards compatibility

Damn I was Xbox 360 from 2005-2010/11 and I been PlayStation since late 2011 and I won’t get a Xbox series S/X because my account on PlayStation is what I have had for a decade now, but now all I got is my ps4 I ain’t living we’re I used to when I was a kid since 2016! But one day I’ll get the ps3 and play all those older games again nothing compares, once my life is sorted and I am the best me I’ll sit back and play those Amazing games!
