this is a great introduction to FastAPI and it helped me understand what was going on with the automatically hosted docs web application, which I don't think was clear from the documentation.

I didn't realize this existed. I currently use flask for my API server but will definitely take a look at FastAPI. I'm really interested in what it has build in for securing an API.

Just saw this one basic tutorial and it gives me a feeling this is going to overtake Flask to be a more dominating framework. I love the part where we don't have to specifically convert the data type from say, a list, into JSON to receive the response. Thanks for this amazing intro. Do you plan on doing a full-fledged tutorial series on this?
