Nice tech tip Dave. I enjoy things I can re-purpose and this is one! Thanks.

Ah man good idea thanks So going to use this, my Canadian frame is rotten by the back leaf hangars so I got a Texas mint frame to swap under, good use for the rusty one👍

I'm all on board with that idea for my '52 cab, have tons of door fitting, floor welding, kickpanels, you know, the usual, roll cab on my trailer to take to sandblasting, roll into paint booth, no brained!! When I'm all done, could be sold to fellow hobbiest, $ bingo, also, save rear portion of frame to build the bed, cha- ching!!👍😎🏁great idea 💡

I have a few of one for square bodies, s-10s, and the 68-72 chev. Few suggestions and pros for using this setup:

The frame then can be used to lift the cab with a hoist or forklift without issue (watch where you mount your wheels)
Helps keep the cab aligned while replacing some of the metal. Still in the way for some of the supports, but easy to cab mount and adjust as needed
I also welded d-rings on the outside of the frame rails for straps/chains to hold while on a trailer and not on your sheet metal

Add a couple more brackets and it can be used as an engines/trans dolly when it's not a cab dolly.
