The acid insoluble pool consists of the biomacromolecules which consist of the lipids , protein , carbohydrates etc . Lipids are not strictly biomacromolecules . Biomacromolecules weight upto tens of thousands. Lipid being macromolecule but weigh less than 800 daltons and are not polymeric in nature. This is because they form vesicles which are water insoluble hence in acid insoluble fraction .
