Video Interpretation: It benefits you to face your fears. When you run away from them you fear death. Steve Lacy was afraid to ask the girl out so he ran away. He was running away from his fear, but running away from his fear ironically resulted in a much bigger fear - death. This death was symbolic indicated by the rose petals representing his blood. These rose petals were scattered over the car that hit him while he was trying to run away. The car was driver-less. This indicates that his death was self-inflicted. He was the only one to blame for his death. He was dressed in a fancy suit that he probably would have worn on the night out with the girl - also ironic. Moral of the story, face your fears or you fear death. Like his friend said in the beginning, "I don't think that her saying no is the worst case scenario. I think you're over thinking it." Steve Lacy was over thinking and it caused the worst case scenario to happen - a self inflicted death. A death of one's dreams, aspirations, and ultimately one's self.
