Dia duit a Chiara! Good on you for standing up for Englishy-sounding words in Irish, English has lots of similar words to French and Italian but so many monolingual speakers that we don't recognise it. The vocab in this vid is so useful at the moment, thanks for keeping us up to date! Go n-éirí leat agus slán go fóill a chara 🍀

Go raibh míle! Is aoibhinn liom go n-úsáideann tú cúpla focal Gaeilge ansúid agus anseo sna físeáin. Tá sé sin an-chabhrach!

While I love your poetry, I find your language vids fascinating even though it's beyond my pay grade.

At 3:30 Ciara said something like "Tiseal Gaedach" (?). Can someone explain to me what that is?

Liosta focal maith! Ní raibh a fhios agam roinnt an focal seo. Is breá liom "etymology" friesin. Agus is maith liom na suíomhanna sin a labhríonn tú faoi.

Físeán iontach arís Ciara! Is fuath liom nuair a deir daoine go bhfuil an focal seo nó an focal sin is as Bhéarla, is minic nó i gcónaí a bhíonn said ón Laidin nó ón nGréigis! Agus bhí theanga scríofa í an Ghaeilge roimh an mBearla.

I am trying to learn Irish but it is going so slowly (I am 70😁) Do they have schools to attend for English speakers Can Americans attend. Wouldn't this be much faster for me Will the Gov let me stay while in school for Irish?💚 Thanks
