When I was younger (early teen years) my mother and grandmother bought me tapeworm pills and I refused to take them. But it never ceases to amaze me how messed up it was.

My husband had worms a couple times growing up, not tapeworms tho, pinworms. His poop was crawling and he cried and told his parents. 🤣 I fortunately have not and don't plan on it if I can help it. Don't swim in the Nile kids. 🤢 people go poop in it, I've seen it.

It's always a good idea to see your doctor about unexplained weight loss. That is one of the first signs of cancer and other serious diseases

The place: Brooklyn, NY 1980's . Family friend retells the time when her parents babysat little boy from Grenada who would only eat sweets and always itched his little behind. One day at the table he starts gagging. Out comes the never ending tapeworm. Apparently it doesn't particularly care for sweets. Her Dad took out a hefty bag & meat cleaver and brought it wriggling in a bag and the scrawny lil' boy to Kings County Hospital. The tapeworm was wriggling around and carryin' on. She said the look on the nurses face when they came in!
Moral of this true story is to cook your meat and babysitting is not for the weal hearted.
