Do you trust everything you hear? If so, this lesson may bring you a new perspective regarding compliments and flattery.

The story begins with a hungry crow that finds a piece of cheese in a plate. He takes the cheese and flies up into a tree to enjoy his treat. A cunning Fox sees the Crow eating cheese and plots to take it from him.

The fox calls up into the tree and proceeds to give the Crow numerous compliments about his appearance and his singing must be just as beautiful as he is and convinces the Crow to sing for him. When he opens his beak to sing, the food falls from his mouth, and the Fox takes the food.

We learn a valuable lesson of not trusting our flatterers.
