Jane's USNF'97 • Vietnam Campaign Mission 3: Thanh Hoa Harbor

Intruders are mining the harbor while we provide CAP in Crusaders.

For this mission I'm experimenting with different CPU PCem is emulating (Mobile Pentium 300MHz), the game runs a bit smoother but there is a lot of sound clipping (music skipping) going on.

All that USNF family of games, which is actually a reincarnation of Chuck Yeager's Air Combat, is a perfect blend of simulation and arcade. So much fun! A perfect game!

one thing i love about fighters anthology that no other game replicates: it's very cathartic going from sparrows that almost always miss up to modern day missiles that always hit

Would love to see this game be "remastered" in Unreal Engine or something by fans. No need to go crazy with the flight models, just being able to recreate the missions from the Anthology would be a lot of fun tbh

What a perfect flight sim. Everything in USNF is so well designed. Your playthrough makes me re-watch Platoon and Flight of the Intruder!

What command are you using to ask the AWACS for targets? I am using the remote air targeting (SHIFT-A) but it seems like you are contacting the AWACS for targets after the initial intercept and it is answering "No Bandits Detected". Is that a command or is that just the game displaying that automatically? Your videos are incredible by the way. Thank you for preserving these amazing sims.
