Blanton's is only "good" in the grand scheme. It's worth $70 or $75, but no more than that. Its sibling whiskeys have just as much to offer at half the price. Store picks of Buffalo Trace are especially nice, and it's fun to see what sort of single barrel the year will bring.

Best bourbon for the price is Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond. Wild Turkey 101 is also an excellent value.

They all taste the same to me but I’m not a drinker. Willet reserve, wild Turkey 101 and rare breed, Frey Ranch from Nevada is a real sleeper.
