Great tutorial sir! Unreal photo once again. I'm a huge fan of architecture and design, especially in abandoned and deteriorated states. That said, holy Jesus is that a great photo. At first look, it reminded me of a IR shot in reference to the colors. Superb composition!

Great video. Simple and direct. Does this also work if we used say 4 or 6 pictures where each picture was manually focused OR will this only work for a 2 shot stack?

Brilliant, so did you manual focus on two different points or move the focus point and auto focus? Presumably you could do this with more images too, especially good in macro with really shallow DOF?

My D850 does it automatically and man is it ever amazing Eric!

Question for you Eric, does the images in bridge have to be jpegs, because when I click in tools and go to Tools-Photoshop then load files into photoshop layers it won't open them, many thanks in advance.

Great tutorial, thanks.
I'm having one problem though. Taking a picture through a window where I wanted the window in the foreground and the scenery behind sharp. But the auto-aligning of the two pictures distorted the window frame to look as something taken through a fish eye. In the original two pictures there was almost no distortion (taken at 35mm on a FF). When I then crop to remove empty areas it leaves behind a very cropped and heavily distorted picture.
How can you avoid this?

Hi
I have the photoshop and lightroom bundle, but not the bridge. When I looked at align photos it is not active. Do I need adobe bridge to do focus stacking?

Eric - This is an absolutely awesome tutorial! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! One question - I hope to go to Old Car City later this year and want to make HDR images. I shoot anywhere from 3 to 6 frames of different exposures for one image. What would be the workflow when combining HDR and needing to focus on foreground/background separately to do focus stacking as well? Trying to figure that out is making my brain hurt! :o) Any tips you can provide would be very helpful!
