Kona is SO smart! And she seems to have this calm, almost solemn air about her, unlike Inertia who, though also very smart, used to appear a little hyper, goofy, and all over the place (in the cutest way) when she was a young puppy 😂

It’s actually so good seeing you not succeed every time because it makes it more relatable. And makes me feel like it’s ok not to do it perfectly every time! I’m a week into to puppy ownership and your videos have been sooo helpful - I’ve taught her to leave and look at me - going to try the combo tomorrow! Also definitely donating to your patreon next payday - you have no idea how much you’ve helped me and my partner!

Something cool would be a Puppy Training Calendar. This can help people with a guideline on how to train their puppy. For me I don't know if I am doing too little or too much and it would be nice to have a calendar with a date guideline but maybe even a time frame guideline!

Thanks for showing us all of the progress Zak and not cutting out the mistakes, it shows me that even the best trainers have issues too!

She's really smart, picking up on things so fast! It's so amazing to see when she understands, it's like a lightbulb over her head 😄

"You can gradually phase in a more normal voice but... Why would you want to?" Hahaha I realize after owning a puppy I spend more than half the time talking in a high pitch voice.

Thanks for this content, really an amazing resource! I managed to teach my small pup some of the basics, prior to watching this. The first time he did "Sit" on his own took a day or two and I was SO Proud! Your methods are perfect though! I look forward to watching the whole series!

We got our labradoodle puppy yesterday. It has been a long 24 hours. I can’t wait to apply your training tips. I am new to your channel. Your content is life changing. Thank you for your videos!

Zak, you really are the best of the best! I love how honest you are and you show the little mistakes that could happen along the way, no matter how on top of things or well trained YOU are. Also, I love that you allow all dogs to be dogs. You let them trample you sometimes and jump up and little things like that. I really hate it when people don’t let their dogs be dog. You show the perfect balance of training your dog REALLY WELL and still letting them be silly and goofy and do dog things

It's so refreshing to see such positivity and gentleness every step of the way. It is reassuring to know that not everyone sticks a prong collar on their dog and relies on fear and dominance to get the results that they want. We are loving this series.

I started training leave it last night and our puppy was doing so well (Training with dry kibble). So I tried to show my wife how well he was doing. I used the training treats that he REALLY likes. They barely touched the ground and they were gone. I changed the variable and it bit me in the butt LOL. Thanks for the videos Zak.

wow, thanks. I watched the ''leave it'' portion of your video and have to admit that I was a bit sceptic that it could be done so fast. I just tried it with my 12 weeks old Aussiedoodle and within 5 minutes she had grasped the concept. Even my wife who thought I was wasting my time was impressed. Thanks again

LOVE you Zak!!! Used all your videos to help me train my family’s first dog a GoldenDoodle, Benny. He is now 4 yrs old and is the best trained dog. People compliment me all the time as I walk him without a leash. He listens so well.

Wow! Incredible. My puppy can be really really distracted and it can be hard to get his attention. I started wearing him out with toys and then tried the exercise for leaving treats. It took him a bit, but after 5 mins or so I was waving it in front of his face and he'd smell it but not bite until I said yes!! Thank you so much! Can't wait to keep watching!!
