I agree with this SO HARD!!! I work in an industry with all men, and have gained their respect. And I do this often. It’s not about making a scene to succeed, it’s about showing your value. And no one sees your value when you’re constantly making a scene because you don’t agree or fit in. More people need to learn how to walk that sh*t off. 😂

Even as a man this was a difficult episode

I’ve struggled with overcoming “nice guy” behavior

So I started setting boundaries for other people, which has worked and is taking time to hone tactfully

But I felt myself becoming more strategic to the point of becoming manipulative

And not in a good way

It also made things feel like a game and drove me to care less for others

This is a tricky balance to strike

Even so, I feel… unsure of this topic

I’m not sure how to move forward and maintain boundaries, teach others how to treat me, without putting people off

I’ve been pretty hard on this guy for his abandonment of core values that have bettered the lives of families and children for generations in favor of a “join the narcissism” and play the game of the sexual marketplace mentality. Here he speaks truth.

I work for a local courthouse and started contentious and disagreeable. Social Justice warrior. Boy did that fck me up. And though I’ve corrected my ways, the damage is done. Reputation, takes a lifetime to build and can be thrown away in a minute.

nah it's warm pride month every month hehe. "dying on a hill" is just a phrase narcissists use when they don't want you to say anything and just take it. they escalate it to unnecessary levels first then when u do something back they say "ur dying on a hill, pick your battles" silly gooses, their playbook is really simple lol

I actually agree with him on this. The only other thing that I have noticed is males lack of self-worth causes them to become bitter as well. Opposite issue, same effect. I was just having a conversation about this with old friend of mine a few days ago. He used to be super humble & down to earth. But his lack of self-worth & putting himself on the ground has caused him to become so bitter. I’m pretty silly with dudes cause I do not take them seriously. I have seen females who are prideful age badly. The only thing I roll my eyes over is dudes accusing of being a “player” for just being cool. So dudes can be mad judgey as well. I could care less tho 😂
