Austin City Limits: Season 06 Episode 01

This is the abridged version of this ACL episode, from CMT's "Best of Austin City Limits" series, which simply abridges episode in order to fit in commercials (which I have removed).

The CMT versions also include newly-shot intros, this episode's is from Charlie Robison. Enjoy!

Transferred from an EP tape with HiFi audio.

The Charlie Daniels Band first appeared on Austin City Limits in 1976 during Season 1. This appearance was their second on the show, and it aired during Season 6 in 1981. This is an abridged version of the episode that was shown as part of CMT's "Best of Austin City Limits" series. The series aired on CMT from 2002 to 2003. When Austin City Limits aired on CMT from 2002 to 2003, the episodes were cut to make room for commercials. As a result, some parts of the episodes may be missing. The CMT versions of Austin City Limits episodes also cut out the Austin City Limits opening and closing credits, along with the chatter between songs, and an introduction by Charlie Robison and Tara McNamara.👍

Hey Live Preserver, would you upload the 6th episode of Season 9 of Austin City Limits? It aired in 1984 and featured Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band. The episode is notable for Buffett's salty original style and his performance of Caribbean island music.👍
