Lavar might have said a lot of crazy things but he’s one THE best black fathers on TV. Dude OPENLY shows love to his sons, and he dedicated his works to having them achieve their dreams.

Black fathers in television are often represented as absent or overlooked for their accomplishments. I’m giving Lavar his flowers. He’s a man, he’s a father, and he’s black. He did exactly what he set out to do and DESPITE him being clowned in the media for his outrageous takes, no one can say that he failed his children.

It’s important TO ME to highlight that fact that he is still in the limelight, being such an amazing dad, AND that he’s black.
