There’s always more than one way to do some thing in the trdes whether it’s plumbing, HVAC electrical. In this hilarious video, we look at two different ways that joint compound is applied. I’m a very clean and organized plumber. However, from the moment I was shown pipe dope I have never been able to master the application process. I use so much so they all call me dope head, obviously.

I was adding pretty good amount. But then someone showed me that you can put small line and it will be pushed by the threads, but will look much cleaner. Don’t care, as soon as it no leak.

I now snap that stupid MOP from the lid and keep a package of "printer cleaning swabs" which are far more precise, solvent resistant and unlike the fupid stucking mop do not tend to contaminate my precious dope.
