Vintage Mini Bike Restoration | Budget Build & Built Flathead!

Показать описание
We restore an old mini bike! Vintage stiff chassis mini bikes are popular right now, many people upgrade them with Predator 212 engines and go racing, but we opt for a built vintage Briggs and Stratton 5HP flathead engine on this project to keep it all old. We take the mini bike apart, paint it, make a custom seat, install the Briggs engine and go for a ride!

"Should put that thing on a skateboard". I like where you're going with that, John!

John: "Everything is just stuck, worn out, or broken." Dude...you just described the beginning of every great project you and Ike have ever done. LOL!!!

I love that you painted it metallic blue. I have darn near the same mini. My old man bought it for me on my eighth birthday. powered by a flat head and it is Metallic blue!! The flat head is blown up (may have been over revved) and I have been contemplating restoring it to its glory of my youth. I have an old racing 5hp Briggs sitting in the attic waiting to be put back in service. This video may have given me the inspiration that I needed to get the project started.

With the 35 chain breaker . You don't need a master link . Just use the chain breaker to reassemble the chain. The mini bike looks great

We had those in the 70's. Fun to ride and useful in the pit stop. My dad was a mechanic for a motorcycle racing team so we would ride those back and forth to get parts, food, drinks, and sometimes help!Great video, keep it up, I actually learned a lot.

Beautiful restoration job guys !! The metallic blue looks great. Also like the chain guard, it also protects you from the centrifugal clutch which gets red hot ...
