Best Strategy Game 2011 Nominees

This year saw a great amount of diversity in the Best Strategy category. On one end of the spectrum, you have Anno 2070 and Shogun 2. Both are massive strategy and war simulators that require a keen managerial sense to keep your growing empire on track. On the other end is Frozen Synapse and Anomaly, which both offer a creative spin on genre standards. The surprisingly rich Shadow Wars lies somewhere in the middle, with solid mechanics and hours of content. Choosing the winner took careful consideration, as the selected game will join the ranks of The Sims 3 (2009) and StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty (2010) as the best of the best. But we've done our research, and we're ready to field our answer.

between shogun 2 and Anno2070. . . Anno2070 is one of the most underrated games this year.

I'd go with Shogun, but putting Anno and Shogun in here is crazy. Anno is way more peacfull RTS.

Right i'm sick of this! I'm going to make an RTS myself! Just need an RTS like Settlers rise of an empire with better war mechanics (MORE EMPHASIS ON WAR)
