Hello, i have a question. If i open the general NISA account, can i still change the account to tsumite NISA after 5 years? 😅😅 Because I have already opened General NISA as I'm not sure I'll be working in Japan after i graduate.

This is really helpful. I just started to research about investing here in Japan.
You recommended mutual funds but is there also the option to invest in Index Funds instead?

Would it be more profitable to send money to a different country and invest there? For example, I’m an American citizen, resident of Japan. I was thinking it’d be better to invest in American mutual funds in a roth ira. Yes, the initial value with be low cause the yen is so weak, but the growth would be better long term in the US, right? And then converting it back to yen later on after compound interest, it seems like it’s just overall better? I’m not sure though, please correct me if I’m wrong

Sorry but as someone who has been in investing for a long time I HAVE to roast this video as the information he provides here doesn't seem to have any rationale. First, usually ETFs have lower fees that mutual funds, yet you recommend mutual funds, what's your argument here? Second, which fund do you want to invest into? I assume you're only interested in Japanese stocks. Well, guess what with US brokers such as Interactive Brokers you also have an access to the Japanese stock market. Have you compared the fees, commissions, etc? It might not be worth the hassle using a local japanese investment bank after all
