OBERHEIM OB-8 | Single Synth Song

The OB-8 (1983) is a very warm and rich sounding 8-voice poly synth with that fat Oberheim sound. Many thanks to Pierre for letting me borrow this amazing synth. It sounds absolutely gorgeous!

All sounds are coming from the OB-8, with the Oberheim DX on drum duties and the Roland TR-707 with some additional percussion. Enjoy!

For anyone that cares, it was this synth (as far as I know) that was used to create the pad sound Thomas Dolby made for the intro of Waiting for a Girl Like You. :)

FINALLY!!! Nice job. Finally someone showed off the Oberheim as a stand alone with all its' capabilities. Of course there are several synths that hold their own from that time period, but typically people play just some presets without context which in my eyes doesn't do any synth justice. Actually there is one other person on YouTube that did a using only the Oberheim. However his was the -Xa version. He deserves credit too yet at this time I don't have a link to him. Thanks again and keep up the good work. I'm glad to see you are as creative as you are great at covering other songs technically and musically.
