Thrice - Wake Up (Piano Dub)

Quick and dirty play-along of one of my favorite songs from the new album. Apparently my camera stand was touching the piano, which explains the twitchy blurring. I only had a time for 2 takes and this one was the best (the old one is greyed out in the top lane on my Macbook). Sadly, I can only record in mono due to limitations of my audio device. Due to some weird shifting in either the audio or video track, the sound and the video start falling apart towards the end. Feel free to leave comments!

Set up: Yamaha P-95, recorded live into Garageband; video recorded with Canon Ixus 510HS. Had to artificially create some spacing and ambiance in Garageband to fix the mono-channel limitations. Note: this piano sounds a lot better than represented in this video! Edited and rendered in Blender.

This is a proof-of-concept test run. If I find the time, I'll upload more. Got to streamline the process first and work out the weird audio/video shifting.

Not claiming this is right - I dubbed this by ear. In some cases the chords are power chords, sometimes there will be thirds, sometimes it's just the base and a bunch fifths.
