That's true. I've noticed that I would sometimes be behind a rich type in a store, waiting to pay, and the employee would still be a bit grumpy as they served me. My solution is to crack a joke about that grumpy customer or try to do small talk. I consider myself a winner if they are laughing when I leave. 😊 Normally, though, those employees are good enough at their job so that when they're serving the next customer, they're fine. However, it just alters the mood of the moment and it's no fun for anyone. Thanks for spreading the word.😀

It seems to me that the biggest difference between the two isn't that the rich guy is super haughty and arrogant, although that seems to come along with it, but that the really rich guy's true wealth is a more relational wealth. The real value in his life are the people, the connections, the relationships. The other guy is selfish and self-serving. He's obsessed with status and convincing people he's something he's not. Pure ego. Take care of your people and they will take care of you.

Rich Guy never wants to see guys like me because we are his worst nightmare. One of the best lessons I learned as a young man "See that guy over there in cut offs, yah he's drunk, that's because he was out on the lake all day. But he is the richest guy in here and a nice dude, my bf and I know him, treat him well and never judge a book by its cover."

Strange but in your case, I wasn't crazy about your videos, production value was really good but got annoyed with the 2 characters. Then I saw your videos as you and completely different. Kinda like the dissonant/resonant leadership dichotomy, right? Dissonant leaders are based around negative emotion, they create interpersonal discord, and are all about their singular personal vision.

Harmonious leaders are the opposite - collaboration, shared positive emotions, and they go for a shared vision.

More often than not, and outside of some very specific circumstances and professions, you want to be or work for a harmonious leader. There are *some* times where a dissonant leader could be useful - specifically in cases where there's an impending deadline and work needs to be done quickly, or where the team's fallrn behind schedule and we need to get back on track, or in high-intensity professions like The Military or SWAT; but it's never recommended as a regular thing. For military or SWAT, they'll typically aim for harmonious leadership when not in active combat, and will invite collaboration beforehand (especially in the military), but will switch into dissonant leadership when they just need the team to follow their orders.

But 9.999 times out of 10, you'll want to be a harmonious leader. You get a healthier work environment, people will want to work for you, people will want to help you out, and everyone's just happier all around.
