The promo only "no rap" radio edit of "Let's Get Down" by Tony Toni Tone sent to radio stations in late 1996. The album version included raps from DJ Quik; who also produced the track. A different no rap radio edit was issued on vinyl that included DJ Quik talking in the intro, but not his verses within the song.

104.9 in St. Louis introduced me to this version waaaay back in the 90's in my single-digit days; the same radio station that introduced me to the "No-Rap" version of MC Hammer's rendition of the Gospel song of "Goin Up Yonder". S/O to 104.9. 💯💯💯

I prefer this version without the DJ QUIK rap area. The song was recorded next to Thanksgiving MCMXCIV although not released until August 8 in MCMXCVI. I'm partying alone with the song on December 31 as 2022 marches herself in.
