Lyrics:

Yes, yes, yes!
You're about to listen to the beginning.
This album is 44 minutes long and it's best listened to the first time through, all the way through with no distractions.
That means no email, no text, no social media.
So if you don't have 44 minutes of time right now, I politely ask you come back later and turn this off.
I love you.
I wrote this album when I was trying to alchemize the grief and pain in my life into beauty.
It's been a long time since we spoke. A lot has happened since my father died and I walked across America trying to figure out what was wrong, but I speak to you today in a different place, a place of joy and faith and love.
This album was my attempt to remind you that there are rainbows in your life, while admitting the sun does not alway shine.
If you are listening to this I also want to invite you to join the inner bloom community. It's free of charge and every week we alchemize pain into beauty.

Mike my man, me and my gf broke up last week, my first girlfriend, my first love. Everything has been grey this past week, i have been feeling miserable, today was a shitty day in Lisbon, lots of rain, but when i got out of work, the sun came out and I saw a beautiful rainbow. Then I get to my car and I receive a notification of this new album of yours.
I sit alone while I am listening to it and this incredible thing had the power to let me get it all out. I cried my heart out but damn it felt good in the end.
The world has this kinda fucked up coincidences that have no explanation.
I was not so certain before, but now man, now I know everything will be alright.
I love you man
Thank you

I don't ever put celebrities on pedestals. To lionize a celebrity is to bring them further from humanity and closer to idealism.

Mike, I lost my mother at only 15 years of age, in a way too-gruesome for most of my teachers to hear about at the time. I'm not gonna write a whole pedantic about my life story. What I will say though, as succinctly as I possibly can: your music is the only music, whether im listening to Perfect Mess, Falling, 31 Minutes to Takeoff, or the entirety of At Night, Alone, or now this new drop, to make me feel like I'm not alone.

Your music has made me feel like less of an emotional outcast for feeling the things I have for the past four years while dealing with the tragic loss of my mother. Nobody around me, especially since moving from a less well off school to a very affluent one, has ever had an equal experience as me in this regard. Your music became akin to a shoulder to lean on. Despite having two of my own, your music became the older brother that I never had.

Your story has inspired me to be more than what I was cut out to be. The life lessons you have shared through your music are ones I will never, ever forget.

I can say with an utmost certainty unlike any other I have ever spoken to, that I have absolutely no idea where I would be or what state I would be in without re-discovering your music.

Thank you, Mike. Thank you for being you.
