I cannot afford it. At any given time, my chest freezer will contain up to 30 pounds of ground beef or pork, bought for $2-2.50 a pound. Up to 60 pounds of chicken quarters, bought for $1. a pound, and something like ten dozen frozen eggs just as backup for the many dozens of eggs in my refrigerator, bought for $2. a dozen.

Had the Filet Mignon tonight, and they were delicious. Fried them with a little olive oil, then added some butter and fresh thyme to the pan. Nicely pink in the middle. They were a perfect size for our protein allowance.

I buy directly from farmers, in bulk, and get far better prices. This meat might be good, but there is no reason to pay such crazy prices. Just my two cents. In Alberta there are many great options, as long as trulocal doesn't "disrupt" one's ability to buy in bulk. Here in Toronto I've noticed fewer advertisements for local farms which sell in bulk and I see trulocal everywhere at very high prices.

So I ordered, and was thrilled by the variety. I added up what it would have cost me to buy these at Save-On-Foods, and Fresh St Market for the bone broth, Superstore for nitrate free, sugar free bacon, and they were maybe $10 more, but then there is the time and gas to go all over the place to find everything.
